On March 9, 2022, the Chief Medical Officer of Health (CMOH) announced that Ontario’s mask mandates would be ending in most settings on March 21, 2022.
According to the Ministry of Health technical briefing, mask mandates will NOT be removed in some settings such as health care settings, long-term care and retirement homes, and congregate care and living settings. Private practice clinics are included in this, meaning members are required to continue masking in their practice beyond March 21, 2022, until further direction from the Ministry of Health.
In addition, effective March 14, 2022, the CMOH revoked Directive #6 regarding COVID-19 vaccination and testing policies in high-risk health care settings such as public hospitals and home and community care settings.
CTCMPAO is closely monitoring the situation and will provide further updates as they become available. We will provide updates on our COVID-19 webpage, social media and by email to all members.
