The College conducted a review and has updated the Jurisprudence Course Handbook. The purpose of the handbook is to provide information on the ethical and legal issues within which TCM practitioners and acupuncturists practise in Ontario.
The revised version includes updated references to the College’s Standards of Practice, policies and guidelines, and other laws, for example, the Personal Health Information Protection Act, 2004, the Child, Youth and Family Services Act, 2017, and the Human Rights Code. Among other changes, sections related to boundaries (including the definition of who constitutes a patient), controlled acts, mandatory reports, and the public register have also been updated.
You can find a copy of the handbook here on the College website.
