New registration for the Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition (PLAR) process is now closed.
Only Grandparented members who have registered for the PLAR process before July 1, 2017 will have an opportunity to register and complete the PLAR process by October 31, 2017 and apply to transfer to the General Class by November 1, 2017.
Registration in the Grandparented Class will expire on April 1, 2018. This means that Grandparented members who do not successfully complete PLAR and transfer to the General Class by this date:
- will not be legally entitled to practise and perform the controlled acts of the College;
- can no longer hold out as a member of the College; and
- can no longer use the protected titles, Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and/or Acupuncturist, and designations, R. TCMP and/or R. Ac, in Ontario.
For members who have already submitted the PLAR application, thank you. Your application is in progress.
We encourage members who have received an unsuccessful result to contact the College to discuss their result and next steps. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the College at plar@ctcmpao.on.ca or Professional Testing at registration@professionaltesting.ca.
