On June 8, 2022, Dr. Kieran Moore, Chief Medical Officer of Health, announced that most of the province’s remaining masking requirements, including on public transit, will expire as of 12:00 a.m. on June 11, 2022.
Masks will still be required in long-term care and retirement homes, and are also recommended in higher-risk congregate living settings, such as shelters and group homes.
Dr. Moore also announced that remaining directives will be revoked and replaced with Ministry of Health guidance for health care workers and organizations, including guidance on when masks should be worn in hospitals and health care settings.
CTCMPAO continues to monitor these changes and will update our members as soon as more information becomes available.
