The Council of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (the College) is pleased to announce the hiring and appointment of Sean Cassman as the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the College, effective August 1, 2024.
Sean’s selection comes after a rigorous recruitment process and careful scrutiny of many candidates before identifying him as the ideal candidate. Sean has over 10 years of regulatory knowledge and experience that uniquely positions him to lead the College and implement the regulatory initiatives of its 5-year Strategic Plan.
Mr. Cassman first joined the College in 2014. During his tenure he has held progressive leadership positions including the Manager of Policy and Governance. He was most recently appointed the Acting Registrar and Chief Executive Officer on February 1, 2024. His regulatory and institutional knowledge has made him an invaluable figure in regulating the practice of traditional Chinese medicine in the public interest. His commitment shines through in his ability to listen and value different voices and perspectives, and in his comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities of regulating the College, both operationally and strategically. His unwavering commitment and dedication to the College will ensure that the public interest mandate remains the College’s top priority. We are confident in his ability to effectively work collaboratively with Council, staff, members, and all stakeholders to advance the College’s important regulatory initiatives for the profession of traditional Chinese medicine.
