Directive 2 Rescinded – Practitioners Must Continue to Follow All COVID-19 Guidance

The Ministry of Health has released a memo to health care providers stating that Directive 2 has been rescinded, and that non-urgent and non-emergent surgeries and procedures may gradually resume.  The memo also states that all health care providers should continue to follow the guidance issued by the Ministry of Health in the COVID-19 Operational Requirements for Health Sector Restart. Furthermore, the College’s Return to Practice Guideline and Telepractice Position Statement are still in effect. Therefore, despite Directive 2 being rescinded, members should continue to take all precautions to limit the spread of COVID-19 in their practice.

Members are encouraged to read the full memo for more details on how this may affect your practice. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the College for more information.
