Effective Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 12:01 a.m., the Ontario government will impose a Provincial Stay-at-Home Order and enhanced enforcement measures to reduce mobility. Please see the announcement from the government for more information. Regulated health services continue to remain open, and TCM Practitioners and Acupuncturists may continue to operate with all safety precautions in place.
CTCMPAO members are expected to follow the requirements set out in the Chief Medical Officer of Health Directive 2, COVID-19 Operational Requirements: Health Sector Restart, and the College's Return to Practice Guidance Document.
Where possible, the Ministry continues to encourage health care providers to limit the number of in-person visits for the safety of health care providers and their patients. Practitioners are in the best position to determine which services can be offered remotely (virtually) and which services can be provided safely in-person, assuming the necessary preconditions as set out in the COVID-19 Operational Requirements: Health Sector Restart document are met. For information on providing telepractice services, please review the College’s Telepractice Position Statement.
The College continues to closely monitor the situation for any new directions from the Ministry of Health. Please visit the College webpage regularly for any further updates.
Thank you to all the practitioners for your continued efforts and commitment to protecting your patients, staff and the community in these challenging times.
