CTCMPAO Queen’s Park Day

On May 27, 2026, the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) co-hosted a Queen’s Park Day alongside Traditional Chinese Medicine Association of Canada (TCMAC) and Traditional Chinese Medicine Ontario (TCMO). The day began with a reception at Queen’s Park followed by several successful meetings with MPPs and staffers in relevant ministries. The College had an opportunity to highlight how regulatory oversight ensures that Ontarians receive safe, ethical and quality care from traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists.

CTCMPAO would like to thank MPP Billy Pang for sponsoring this event as well as providing remarks during the reception. CTCMPAO would also like to extend our thanks to MPPs France Gelinas, Adil Shamji, Mike Schreiner, and to association representatives Pierre Chen and Heather Kenny for their positive remarks and their support for CTCMPAO and our public interest mandate.

The CTCMPAO, through the Traditional Chinese Medicine Act, regulates over 3200 traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists in Ontario. The CTCMPAO ensures that Ontarians receive safe, ethical and competent care from traditional Chinese medicine practitioners and acupuncturists.
